JDE login page without styles missing graphics – I changed the css - OAS

Are you running OAS

Did you change the webguistylesheet.css

Are you getting one of these

image

Don’t fear, there is a solution!

you have a corrupt web.xml

you’ll find the following in the log.xml, which will be in a location like

/u01/product/10.1.3.1/OracleAS_1/j2ee/TR812/log/TR812_default_group_1/oc4j

    <MSG_TEXT>Unable to dispatch JSP Page : Exception:oracle.jsp.parse.JspParseException: /share/css/webguistylesheet.jsp: Line # 2, <%@ taglib prefix="webgui" uri="http://java.peoplesoft.com/e1/webgui"%>

Error: "http://java.peoplesoft.com/e1/webgui" is not a registered TLD namespace. </MSG_TEXT>

You’ll need to follow steps in http://moistymoistymoisty.blogspot.com/2010/03/500-errors-logging-into-jde-and-then-on.html

Hey Shannon, in the post you refer to this link as the fix for the issue - "You’ll need to follow steps in http://moistymoistymoisty.blogspot.com/2010/03/500-errors-logging-into-jde-and-then-on.html" If you click on this link, it goes no where, the blog is non existent.

What is the general idea around the issue, I see you talk about a corrupt web.xml? Any more info on

Hi Shanon I found the link.

To anyone who stumbles across this page the blog link is here: http://shannonscncjdeblog.blogspot.ca/2010/03/500-errors-logging-into-jde-and-then-on.html

The fix is as follows:

1. to shutdown OAS / web server services.
2. Copy the web.xml into a new folder
3. delete the web.xml
4. Replace it with the web.xml you put in the new folder (the original/same file, no changes).
5. Now make the changes to the webguistylesheet and add in any images/pics etc you need to into the relevant folders
6. Start your webservices
7. Enjoy your new skin
